Bo Nordh

While the Ivarsson's sought/seek to tease out the organic shape within a block of Briar, it seems it was always Bo's goal to conquer the organic, to mimic its iterations in a created thing. Bo worked from the outside in. He started with an idea, that was his zero-point, then made ever-smaller concentric circles around it, until he'd hit the center. At that point, he had a shape, and he would make a number of them. Thus, Bo's pipes are limited in terms of shape, rarely display a live edge (plateaux), and tend to favor crossgrain display patterns that would not distract from his carefully planned designs.
